The Pharmaceutical committee of the chamber is hosting a session entitled, "Pharma in the Digital Age: Navigating the Internet Transactions Act for the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industries" , to be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Robert Sears Hall inside the premises of the AmCham Philippines Office, 2/F Corinthian Plaza Building, Paseo de Roxas corner Gamboa Street, Makati City, Philippines. This session will be graced by Assistant Director Perpetua Werlina Reyes-Lim of the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Bureau, under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and will be tackling the following discussions:

• Key provisions of the Internet Transactions Act relevant to the pharmaceutical and health sectors.
• Discuss the regulation of e-pharmacies and how the ITA supports the regulatory framework for these businesses.
• Requirements for e-commerce businesses in health and pharmaceuticals to ensure compliance (e.g., registration, transparency, consumer protection)
• How the ITA aligns with existing data privacy laws (e.g., the Data Privacy Act) to protect patient and consumer information in digital transactions.
