The Energy and Power (EP) Committee of the chamber is hosting a session entitled, "Advancing Power: Updates and Opportunities on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)" on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN (Philippine Time) at the AmCham Robert Sears Hall (2/F Corinthian Plaza Building, Paseo de Roxas cor. Gamboa St., Makati City, Philippines).


This meeting will tackle some updates on the Nuclear Power industry in the Philippines, small modular reactors' (SMRs), and its advancement and potential opportunities in the energy industry. The session will be graced by Philippine Department of Energy's Undersecretary, Usec. Sharon Garin and NuScale Power's Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Jose Reyes.
