Days before the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic, AmCham Center for Training and Development (ACTDev) hosted a meeting that tackled how companies can develop an effective pandemic plan.
Following this announcement and the increasing number of positive COVID cases, the Philippine government implemented a community quarantine for NCR which was later on upgraded to an enhance community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon- this forced companies to apply schemes such as telecommuting, web meetings and etc. to sustain business continuity and functionality while ensuring the safety of employees and other stakeholders.
