Chief Human Resources Officer at Sunlife
Michelle is the Chief HR Officer of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines). With her 30 years of experience as an HR Leader and Influencer, she continues to pursue her passion around Culture Transformation and Talent Revolution. She is a strong advocate of cultivating Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belongingness in the workplace, upholding these as essential practices that fosters an open, honest, and respectful work environment that ultimately impacts Employee Experience.
Outside of her corporate responsibility, Michelle is also active in pushing for various HR advocacies. In 2018, she was unanimously elected as the National President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), the biggest professional association of HR Leaders in the Philippines with more than 1,000 Corporate Members. Today, she sits as a member of its Council of Presidential Advisers. In 2021, she was also elected as an officer of the HR Council of the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP). Michelle is a proud recipient of various recognitions given her valuable contributions to the industry, including the Top 100 HR Icon in Southeast Asia by Economic Times HR World Southeast Asia; and the Top 100 Filipinos to follow on LinkedIn.

JP Orbeta is the Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Risk Officer of ACEN (formerly AC Energy), where he serves as Director. He is also a Director at ACE Endevor, Inc. and ACE Shared Services, Inc.
JP was a Managing Director at Ayala Corporation, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Group Head for Corporate Resources from 2005 to September 2021. Today, he serves on the Boards of several companies across the Ayala group including AC Industrials and AG Legal and is currently the Chairman of the Ayala Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Ayala Coop). Previously, he was the President and CEO of Ayala Automotive Holdings Corporation, Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. and Ayala Aviation. He also previously served as a Director on the Boards of BPI Family Bank, ALFM Mutual Funds, AC Health and Ayala Foundation. Prior to joining Ayala Corporation, he was the Vice President and Global Practice Director of the Human Capital Consulting Group at Watson Wyatt Worldwide (now Willis Towers Watson).
Mr. Orbeta completed his advanced management programs at Harvard Business School, IMD and INSEAD, and holds a degree in A.B. Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.
