In honor of International Women's Month, AmCham North Luzon has invited one of the many women whose story inspires us and helps shape the future of education. A Filipina, a veteran diplomat, and a dedicated educator and academic leader essentially contributing to the development of the workforce.

Ambassador Laura Del Rosario was the Undersecretary (Deputy Minister) of Foreign Affairs from 2011-2016, in charge of international economic relations at the Department of Foreign Affairs. She was the Chair of the Senior Officials' Meetings when the Philippines chaired and hosted Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation in 2015.

An alumna of Maryknoll/Miriam College, she is now the 9th president of Miriam College (or formerly Maryknoll College), a liberal arts college for women with strong advocacies on truth, peace, justice, and ecological integrity. In her 4th year of administration, Miriam College is set to open its 3rd campus in the country, the Miriam College Alviera in Porac, Pampanga.
