The session will also hear from GCash who will talk about the global movement to a cashless society as well as how this is evolving in the Philippines as we transition to the post-COVID-19 era.

Director, Payments and Settlements Department, Payments and Currency Management Sector of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
Mr. Jay Dizon has been with the BSP for 22 years. He is currently the Director of the Payments and Settlements Department under the Payments and Currency Management Sector. Prior to becoming the Director of his Department, he developed policies on credit operation, project finance, risk management, and payments; examined the treasury and capital market operations of banks; and conducted trainings in various capacity-building events in the Philippines and other countries.
Before joining BSP, he also worked in the following roles from November 1997 to June 2000: Internal Audit Supervisor for Titanium Corporation, Chief Accountant for Australasia Food and Beverage Corporation, and External Auditor for Punongbayan and Araullo (Ernst and Young International).
Director Dizon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree (Cum Laude) from the University of the East in 1997. He received his Master of Science in Finance degree from the Brandeis University International Business School in August 2007.

Cathlyn Pavia has been with GCash for 5 years. She is currently the Head of the Public Sector and Partnerships team under the Enterprise Group of GCash. Her previous assignments under the same group include heading the Financial Services and Insurance Industry, and a regional role heading the VisMin Cluster. Cathlyn’s achievements include the growth of GCash payment acceptance and increased adoption of GCash disbursement among the industries and areas she handled especially in Cebu and Davao.
