The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) committee of the Chamber is holding a session entitiled: "Protecting Data Privacy in an AI-driven Era" on 22 July from 10:00 - 11:30 AM with Commissioner Raymund Liboro of the National Privacy Commission.
With the proliferation and enhancement of AI, numerous questions on data privacy and protection have been raised. Technology in the past has been massively involved and even more today-- data and other sources of information are in the state of more risks, therefore. It is extremely important that we take extra steps to mitigate cybercrimes and other violations of data protection and data privacy alongside technological development. In an AI-driven era, this facet adds to the list of possible cyber attacks. Cybercrime strikes from behind, in a blink of an eye, and in a click of a finger.
