STEPHEN I BANARES, or SIB for short, started his career at Security Bank Corporation, where he rose from the ranks. He was with the bank for more than 20 years. His last position was Senior Assistant Vice President – Head of the Systems Division. Before this, he held positions in the different departments of the Bank such as Branch Controllership, Audit, and Branch Banking. He is a product of Security Bank’s Executive Training Program where he attended classroom and on-the-job training and seminars on several aspects of banking, leadership, management and other soft skills. He was also one of the Bank’s certified trainers. SIB was a part-time College Instructor at Informatics International College Eastwood Campus and Southville International School and Colleges.
