The upcoming OSAC Meeting, "Managing Metro Manila Earthquake Risk: Private Sector-Local Government Cooperation" scheduled for September 26, 2024. This event, co-hosted by OSAC, AmCham's Security and Disaster Resources Group (SDRG), and the Infrastructure committee of the chamber, aims to provide our members with critical updates on the Philippines' earthquake preparedness, especially in light of developments since the JICA report was released twenty years ago.

Objectives of the Meeting:

1. Provide participants with an understanding of the evolution of disaster response strategies in the Philippines, especially in managing multiple simultaneous events.
2. Enhance awareness of opportunities for businesses to collaborate effectively with local government units at the City and Barangay levels.
3. Discuss how Business Continuity Planning and Business Resilience initiatives can be integrated with LGU efforts to improve coordination and save lives.
