Patient Navigation Program: How can this be institutionalized in the Universal Health Care Law?

Patient Navigation is a program aims to bring ease and comfort to Filipinos in 'navigating' the complicated healthcare system in the country. Patient navigation is crucial for patients with terminal illnesses who needed assistance and attention from group of people who are adept and familiar with various complexities in our healthcare system. It is proven to improve patient compliance and ultimately life survival.

With the recent passage of the Universal Health Care Law in the country which promises minimal out-of-the-pocket expenses from our countrymen, how can the success from Patient Navigation programs be incorporated with the UHC as well as improve and identify gaps we need to address.
