The Information and Communications Technology Committee of AmCham Philippines will be hosting its monthly committee meeting entitled, "2023 Global Digital Transformation Outlook," on March 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM via Zoom Meeting.


The program will feature presentations from Mr. Emmanuel Bonoan, Vice Chairman & COO at KPMG R.G. Manabat and Co.; Mr. Abid Zaidi, COO at Microsoft Philippines; and Mr. Greg Wyatt, Director of Business Intelligence at PSA Philippines Consultancy who will discuss the global, regional, and local outlook for digital transformation as we enter the year 2023.

    Emmanuel Bonoan

    Vice Chairman & COO at KPMG R.G. Manabat & Co.

    Noel Bonoan is the Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Philippines. He is also the firm’s Head of Advisory. He has been with KPMG since 2007.

    Prior to joining KPMG, he was an Undersecretary of the Philippines Department of Finance and had oversight over the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Bureau of Customs. While in government, he led successful efforts to revamp the country’s internal revenue laws and improve governance in the revenue agencies. For his work, he was awarded The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) in 2004. His background has given him a wealth of insights into Philippine tax policy making him a more effective adviser to his clients.

    Noel is a lawyer. He has a Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila School of Law (Silver Medal Honors) and a Master of Laws in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

    Noel’s passionate interest in how all things digital can power an organization’s growth and help manage its risks has contributed in no small measure to KPMG Philippines’s digital transformation which, he stresses, is always continuing. As Head of Advisory, he enthusiastically shares his digital experience with the firm’s clients, helping them on their own journeys.

    Greg Wyatt

    Director of Business Intelligence at PSA Philippines Consultancy, Inc.

    Greg has over 10 years’ experience in the private sector in the fields of security risk assessments, political risk, and market entry. He currently leads the Business Intelligence team at Philippines Strategic Associates, helping clients succeed in their investments in the Philippines and monitoring business risks.

    Previously he served as civilian researcher with the US Army’s Human Terrain Team. During this time, he was embedded with US Army combat units in Iraq, where he completed a 14-month deployment conducting field research and providing socio-cultural assessments and political analysis in support of operations. He speaks Arabic at a professional level, as certified by the US Department of Defense.

    He holds a Master’s Degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University with a focus on Intelligence, and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland. He was a Fulbright student scholar to Yemen and Oman.

    With a career spanning over 20 years of working at various executive positions in Fortune 500 companies, he brings with him a wealth of experience in successfully managing businesses, both locally and internationally.

    He is a results-oriented Business Leader with experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Business Management. He has a great passion for incubating ideas and innovating solutions to help customers accelerate their business transformation in line with their goals and objectives, to achieve success.

    He believes that the scale and acceleration of technology adoption brought forth by the pandemic coupled with the new administration’s emphasis towards greater digital adoption in government, places the country in a strategic window of opportunity—one that he from Microsoft’s platform is fully committed to maximizing for the country.

    His immense passion for problem solving through software led him to also venture into local and international entrepreneurial initiatives, which included establishment of startups from the ground up. From hiring of talent to working on novel solutions like Augmented Reality, Mobile Apps, EdTech, to productizing, branding, marketing and selling, helped him be an active contributor and part of knowledge economies.

    Abid believes in nurturing of ideas and consistent innovation and feels that Microsoft has the right vision and capability to bring to life the promise and potential of technology for everyone.
