Vladimir ManuelGlobal Director for Growth and Innovation of Pointwest
Vladimir Manuel is a passionate and serial corporate intrapreneur having initiated, developed, incubated, and managed new offerings, business lines, or companies. He has previously co-founded five (5) non-profits and served on the board of many others that relate to social empowerment, youth & women development, and leadership. Vladimir, or VJ, is currently Pointwest’s Chief Innovation and Growth Officer (CIGO) overseeing Business Development, Product Management, Partnerships & Alliances, and Integrated Marketing.
Vladimir’s digital experience covers more than two decades as he created filipino dot org in the mid-1990s while serving as Assistant to the Philippine Consul General in New York. After graduating with honors (magna cum laude equivalent) from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business, he joined SAP America as part of mySAP.com’s strategy team and later, as Community Manager/Solutions Architect.
Joining a Silicon Valley consulting startup during the dot com days, he made his way to Digitas (now part of Publicis Groupe) in Silicon Alley. Vladimir then became a Product Manager of an online project management methodology and was quickly promoted to Director of Methodology and Online Assessments at International Institute for Learning, a global provider to MNCs of project, program, portfolio management solutions. He continuously developed new products and lines of services that by the time he left International Institute for Learning, he was Sr. VP of Global Sales and Business Development.
In Globe Telecom, Vladimir spearheaded the Education and Healthcare foray under the Office of the President and founded Globe Education Solutions, konsultaMD (first and still only 24x7 physician health hotline in the Philippines), and other digital solutions. As Chief Strategy Programs Officer in AXA Philippines, his responsibilities included overseeing Strategy, Project Management, Distributor Campaigns, and Distribution Transformation.
He is a recipient of an Outstanding Overseas Filipino Award given by the Philippine President in 2006 for his work in empowering Filipino Americans and promoting Philippine national development.
