Event Details

Every year, during the month of June, AmCham Philippines supports the LGBT+ community in celebrating in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognizing the influence LGBT+ people have had around the world. As well as being a month-long celebration, Pride month is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise political awareness of current issues facing the community.


The Chamber will be holding its General Membership Luncheon Meeting for June in celebration of Pride Month with the US Ambassador and ADB Executive Director, Chantale Wong on June 15, 2022, from 12 NN to 2:00 PM at Grand Ballroom I, Grand Hyatt Manila.

    Ambassador Chantale Wong

    US Ambassador & Executive Director of Asian Development Bank

    Ambassador Chantale Wong has over 30 years of experience in finance, technology, and the environment, including in the United States Office of Management and Budget, Departments of Treasury and Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration. She was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the Millennium Challenge Corporation.

    Her experience also includes service in local government, the private sector, and non-profits. She is passionate about visual storytelling to bridge cultural gaps and inspire social change. She holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she was a Women’s Leadership Fellow, and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
