The Information and Communications Technology, Healthcare and Wellness, and Human Capital and Resources Committees of AmCham Philippines will be having a joint committee meeting entitled "The Path to a Future-Proof Work: Developing the 3Ws - Workplace, Workforce, and Wellness" on June 14, 2022, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM via Zoom.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted global economies and businesses. Business managers suddenly found themselves at the epicenter of containment, coping, and return-to-normal activities. As the world moves toward a new normal, organizations are clearly witnessing the emergence of the 3Ws โ€“ Workplace, Workforce, and Wellness, especially in the BPO sector. With many dynamic changes taking place in the BPO sector at this time, it is foreseen that the Philippine reset will focus on the 3Ws but under a hybrid model. Many companies now will begin to experiment with different pilot models to determine which approach works best for their companies and employees.

The pandemic has indeed precipitated numerous negativities, nevertheless, the benefits must still be recognized. The workforce has resorted to means never thought of in the past and has taught us the importance of two things: flexibility and adaptability. Definitely, recovery from the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic will require resilience as companies advance, retreat, adapt, and repeat as necessary. The companies that can protect their people and build the most experience with real agility will create a competitive advantage and accelerate faster out of the downturn.
