AmCham has been active in monitoring business issues and provides a platform for discussion among key public and private stakeholders. Previously, there was a proposal introduced by the Department of Finance to increase the excise tax on sweetened beverages and to create a new tax for products that are considered "junk food."

Thus, AmCham's Agribusiness and B2B Committee will be hosting a roundtable discussion entitled, "Balancing Health and Economics: Exploring the Sugar Sweetened Beverage and Junk Food Tax" which will be held on October 27, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the AmCham Robert Sears Hall, Makati City
