Gov. Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Beja Emano was molded into a life of service as he grew up observing his father, former City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Yap Emano, former governor of Misamis Oriental and mayor of Tagoloan.
At 23, he became the youngest person to ever hold a mayoralty post in the province and in the country. He was elected for three (3) consecutive terms and served as President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Misamis Oriental Chapter.
In 2007 until 2013, he represented in Congress the Second District of Misamis Oriental where he pushed for legislative actions and actively participated in committee hearings. It was because of him that the 183 barangays in the Second District were all given multi-cabs, roads were built and scholarships granted.
In his second (2nd) term as governor of Misamis Oriental, he currently promotes eco-tourism development as the flagship program of his administration with environment, infrastructure, education, agriculture, health, transportation, cooperative, peace and order as eight (8) pillars of his governance.
He is the father of MisOrCareS, a program that provides comprehensive health and social services to indigent constituents of the province. He also enhanced disaster preparedness and strengthened barangay and municipal capabilities with the end-goal of reaching out and delivering the basic services to all 424 barangays of the province of Misamis Oriental.
Just recently, Gov. Bambi Emano led the province of Misamis Oriental towards the most coveted Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award for the second time, 2017 and 2015.
