AmCham North Luzon

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines - North Luzon Chapter will be hosting its virtual General Membership Meeting on July 13, 2021 (Tuesday) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM via Zoom.

The Philippine government has recently secured millions of vaccine doses boosting the confidence that there will be more coming in the country. A "better" Christmas is waiting for Filipinos as the road to herd immunity is getting nearer now that more people become inoculated. A province in this region, Bataan, also pursues its efforts in combating the virus affecting its people and livelihood.

Honorable Albert "Abet" Garcia

Governor at Province of Bataan

Albert S. Garcia is the incumbent Governor of the province of Bataan.

The eldest son of former Governor, now 2nd District Congressman Enrique “Tet” Garcia, Gov. “Abet” has been exposed at a very early age to the rigors of political life.

In 1998, at the age of 28, “Abet” decided to try his own hand in politics by joining the Balanga, Bataan mayoralty race. Winning the said elections, he became the youngest mayor ever to be elected in the history of Balanga. Within two years as municipal mayor he was able to work out the conversion of the once sleepy town into a component city of Bataan making him the First City Mayor of Balanga City. He sought re-election in the May 2001 elections which he won easily without any opposition.

In 2004, he succeeded his father as representative of the 2nd district for three (3) consecutive terms. Due to his dynamism and political savvy, he garnered a coveted post in the House of Representatives.
