Chief Executive Officer at Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation

Ms. Bi Yong Chungunco is the Chief Executive Officer of Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation. In addition to her current role, she is an Independent Non-executive Director of Alstom Group, a multinational company listed in the Paris Euronext, operating worldwide in the rail transport market.

Prior to this role, Ms. Chungunco was with Lafarge, now known as LafargeHolcim Group for 15 years, the global leader in building materials and solutions, with around 75,000 employees in around 80 countries. She was the most senior woman leader from Asia in the Group, and one of the few who held positions at the country, regional and group level, crisscrossing between functional and operational role.

She started as the Country General Counsel in the Philippines, went to Paris to be the Regional Counsel in charge of Latin America and parts of Asia, became the Deputy General Counsel, overseeing the mergers and acquisitions of the group and coordinating the global network of lawyers. She was then appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Malaysia, one of the largest industrial companies listed with the KL Stock Exchange, covering Malaysia and Singapore operations.

After 4 years, she moved back to Paris to be the Group General Counsel of Lafarge. After the merger of Lafarge and Holcim, she went back to operations in charge of Southeast Asia - West region, based in Singapore, supervising 5 countries, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

Her last assignment with the Group was Head Of Divestments, focusing on Asia Pacific Region and concurrently, head of the Lafarge operations in China.

A lawyer by training, she worked in various law firms prior to becoming the general counsel of Jardine Davies, thereafter, joining LafargeHolcim Group as mentioned above. She was also the Past President of Tax Management Association of the Philippines, a national organisation of tax practitioners in the Philippines.
