With total revenues amounting to $24B in 2016 and a projected revenue of $50B by the year 2020, no wonder, the Philippines is considered to be a global BPO powerhouse challenging countries like India in dominating the business outsourcing services arena.
For the past two years however, the IT-BPM industry experienced moderation and plateauing after years of rapid boom. In a Moody's report, it is said that the BPO industry's growth is expected to slow down to a single-digit pace in the coming years - perhaps caused by changes and developments in national policies and other pending measures that might affect the business climate in the country.
The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines [AmCham] continuously support effective policies and programs of the government and the private sector that would induce greater investment in the IT-BPM industry. The Chamber always believed in the potential of the IT-BPM investments as it plays a huge role in fueling the economy of the country.
In line with this, the Chamber's Information and Communications Technology committee is organizing its "Annual Mid-Year BPO Updates" with the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) President and CEO, Rey Untal, on August 28, 2019 at the BDO Corporate Tower, Makati City.
The event intends to gather government leaders, industry key stakeholders, BPO executives, and industry organizations to dialogue and discuss the developments, trends, new government policies, office space demands and other factors that would affect the future of the IT-BPM industry in the country.
This event is free for representatives of AmCham member companies and non-members. Please register in advance, however, to ensure your refreshments are accounted for.
