The National Privacy Commission (NPC) launched its first National Privacy Awareness Week last May 2018 with the theme "Protecting the Filipino's Right to Data Privacy." The event highlighted the importance of protecting the personal data of Filipinos especially with various privacy issues the Philippines have had and is still experiencing today.
To further promote and raise awareness on data privacy, NPC Commissioner Raymund Liboro will be speaking before AmCham Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) committee members on April 23, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the AmCham Hall.
