AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

Martin Marty is responsible for corporate accounts originating from North America, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. Previously, he managed a debt portfolio of large local corporate clients at BDO. Sectors managed include BPO's, real estate, power, gaming, port operations and conglomerates.

Before joining BDO, Martin was a debt portfolio manager for WestLB in the US. Prior to that, he was part of the syndication team at Eurohypo AG (subsidiary of Commerzbank AG) in the US. He worked at the CMBS origination, underwriting and securitization divisions of Eurohypo prior to his Syndication post.

Marty has a post-graduate degree in Finance from NYU, a post-graduate degree in Management from the Asian Institute of Management, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from La Salle.
