The advent of the pandemic has brought about many changes in the daily life of the average Filipino. Now more than ever, an efficient public transportation system is a must if we want productivity of businesses and government offices to be less susceptible to the impact of the pandemic. Improving public transportation not only has economic benefits, but also lessens the burden on the daily commuter, making it a worthy endeavor.

Sustainable Mobility Advocate at Move as One Coalition

Eduardo "Eddie" Yap holds a degree in business administration. He is also a Certfied Public Accountant (CPA) by training; and a property developer and concert producer by avocation. He is also a keen observer and advocate of public policy in fiscal matters, monetary policy, financial markets and public transportation, among others.

Yap also penned “Stirred, Not Shaken” which is a compilation of his essays and articles published in various broadsheet newspapers, both in English and Chinese. Included in the collection is “A Taxless Economic Growth” which cites the factors for the disproportionately low tax revenue yield of the economy. This article was cited in the 2004 Philippine Yearend Economic Review of the Asian Development Bank and the subject of a privilege speech by Rep. Teddy Casino at the House of Representatives.

Yap is also an advocate of the new EDSA busway and public land transportation reforms, including the aviation sector in his “Solving the NAIA Conundrum”, which was cited by Sen. Grace Poe, chairperson of the Senate Public Services Committee at its public hearing on aviation matters.

He is also the CEO of the following companies: Dynamic Realty & Resources Corporation, Clairmont Realty & Development Corporation, and United Pipe Manufacturing Inc.
