Event Details

Davao Light and Power Company, Inc. (Davao Light) explains the increase in their customers' electric bills, particularly the months of June to July on their official website. According to Davao Light, the price of fuel in the world market pushed the generation rate up, which is the cost incurred to produce electricity.

The electric distribution utility also provides a monthly summary of rates according to different schedules on its website.

Davao Light is the third largest privately-owned electric distribution utility in the country in terms of customer size and annual kWh sales.

Davao Light's franchise area covers Davao City, areas of Panabo City, and the municipalities of Carmen, Dujali, and Santo Tomas in Davao del Norte, with a population of approximately 1.8 M and a total area of 3,561 sq. km.

The Joint Foreign Chambers in Mindanao invite you to a discussion on electricity billing and rates. The forum will be held on October 21, [Friday] from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.
