AmCham Philippines

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

Event Details

The Chamber commits itself in contributing to economic progress and nation building through supporting and empowering women who have been the backbone of homes and businesses. With that in mind, the American Chamber of Commerce presents Engage. Educate. Empower: The AmCham Women's Month Celebration on March 17, 2020 (Tuesday), 2:00-5:00 PM.

March has been known all over the globe as Women's Month. The month long celebration of women's contributions in our history traces its beginnings back to the International Women's Day in 1911 which started as a women's rights movement. Over a century later, more and more women are making their marks and rewriting history with their names and accomplishments. Women all over the globe have broken stereotypes and gone beyond boundaries. In the Philippines, women are regaining their voice and are ensuring they are heard. Some of the country's largest companies are also run by great women. Despite these big changes, the road to women empowerment does not stop.

Engage. Educate. Empower: The AmCham Women's Month Celebration a 3-hour event that would celebrate the accomplishments of women through talks on women empowerment by outstanding female leaders who have made their way into the fields of manufacturing, business, real estate, information technology and more.
