Event Details

The Financial Services, Taxes, and Tariffs (FSTT) committee of the chamber is organizing an event entitled, "Microinsurance: Enhancing Financial Inclusivity and Maximizing Financial Security", to be held on June 13, 2023 from 12:00 NN to 2:00 PM at the AmCham Robert Sears Hall (2/F Corinthian Plaza Building, Paseo De Roxas, Makati City). Lunch will be served to all attendees.


This session shall tackle the advantages, opportunities, and importance of microinsurance, and the different perspectives of financial services companies that offer these facet.

    Marc Gorospe

    Head of Business Development at Insurtech - UBX Philippines

    Marc’s mission is to make insurance part of everyday experiences through UBX’s Open Finance platform. As the Head of Business Development for Insurtech, he works with key partners to achieve this mission in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Prior to UBX, he was Head of Commercial at Igloo Philippines, where he grew the Philippines' business via the largest digital platforms in the region. He also held various leadership roles in AXA Philippines' general insurance business, venturing into new markets and launching innovative services through partnerships. Marc also led a payments company's successful post-merger integrations in Asia-Pacific. Marc started his career as a software engineer at Accenture, delivering digital transformation projects for US and UK banks.

    Marc holds an Executive MBA from SP Jain School of Global Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

    Finance and Insurance Commission (2012)
    -Alumni member of Microinsurance Master (2018), 10-week leadership program
    on microinsurance that focuses on best-practice learning techniques, customer-
    centric insights and practical frameworks and tools that will reduce the
    vulnerability of low-income people and make leaders and their organizations
