AmCham Philippines

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

LGUs serve as an avenue for communities to build bridges and establish relations in order to thrive and flourish. In the Philippines, multiple LGUs are led by strong and dynamic female mayors who have astounded the public with their efforts to averse the COVID-19 pandemic. Highlighting their successes greatly reflects the effectiveness of the LGUs as a whole owing to their leadership.

Veering towards the private sector, businesses do not want anything but for success. It is safe to say that business recovery is their number one priority especially during these difficult times. Numerous efforts have been exerted by these businesses in order to thrive and regain their losses. However, the private sector alone would not be as effective if it were not for the assistance and support provided by the public sector.

The roadmap to recovery is still an extensive path to undertake yet to be achieved. Through collaborative efforts, even the smallest ones would definitely contribute to bring us in our hopeful goal. In this time of the pandemic, we must extend all the help that we can no matter what sector, industry or field you are in; because at the end of the day, we are one not just with our country but with the world.
