AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

Event Details

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. - Mindanao Chapter will be hosting a General Membership Meeting and Induction of the 2022 Board of Governors on January 21, 2022 [Friday] at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.

This special event will highlight the Induction of Officers and Directors for 2022. Our guest speaker from the U.S. Embassy Manila will discuss US-PH relations.

David "Chip" Gamble

Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy Manila

David “Chip” Gamble is serving as Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy Manila. He returned to the Philippines in September 2020 as a Counselor for Economic Affairs. Chip was previously posted to Manila from 2007-2009 when he served as Deputy Chief of the Immigrant Visa Unit. His domestic assignments include Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Department of State’s Office of Conventional Arms Threat Reduction, and Director for Russia and Central Asia at the National Security Council. Chip’s other diplomatic postings include Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Poland, and Russia. Before joining the Foreign Service, Chip was an Army officer with service in Korea and Afghanistan. While in the private sector, Chip was a national security consultant at MPRI and Booz Allen Hamilton. A graduate from the College of William and Mary and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Chip speaks Russian and Polish. He and Anna Gamble, a Department of State Civil Servant, are from Virginia and have two children.
