Module I: The Building Blocks of Getting to the Point in Communications
- Recognizing your communication style and that of others to convey tailored messages;
- Bridging communication gaps with foreign managers by applying basic cross-cultural awareness;
- Sorting out your ideas and developing your key point (s) appropriately;
- Adapting your messages and communication practices for remote and hybrid working environments; ๏ง Supporting your statements or conclusions with arguments, direct wording or data;
- Using (and avoiding) key words, expressions and formulas in English for clearer messages.
Module II: Getting to the Point in Written Communications
- Understanding the need to give more context to your messages within asynchronous collaboration; ๏ง Identifying the proper structure and sequence of paragraphs in your written texts;
- Mapping your messages using a simple method to enhance your logical flow and continuity in ideas; ๏ง Applying simple tips to improve your writing style, to shorten and refine your messages;
- Writing more effective emails messages:
- By applying proper etiquette, level of formality, overall structure, etc.;
- For prompting your recipients to reply faster or take desired action.
Module III: Getting to the Point in Verbal and non-Verbal Communications
- Giving precise and short answers, and asking clear questions to get the information you need;
- Improving active listening skills to encourage freer communication with others;
- Fine-tuning your body language to accentuate your message, including during video-conferencing calls.
