AmCham Philippines

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

AmCham Center for Training and Development

Year 2020 started literally with a bang with the eruption of Taal volcano, which disrupted businesses in the provinces of Batangas, Cavite and even Metro Manila due to the ash fall and the threat of an even bigger eruption. This natural phenomenon was followed by a global health threat that was later declared as a Pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 has infected no less than 100,000 individuals in more than 90 countries. The spread of the virus also interrupted immigration, disturbed global trade, commerce, and supply chain forcing businesses and even entire countries to shut down.

Given these recent events, the AmCham Center for Training and Development in Partnership with LockForce International Inc. will hold a one (1) day workshop entitled "How Prepared is your Business?: Business Continuity Awareness Workshop" on 24 April 2020 from 8:00am - 5:00pm at the American Chamber of Commerce Hall, Makati City.
