AmCham Philippines

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

Event Details

The Philippines under the strict implementation of the quarantine has been a challenge for each and every one of us. With the norm that we have been acquainted with in the past, it is not impossible to find the difficulty in adjusting to the new normal that we have now, especially, that change is the only thing constant at this time of the pandemic. The COVID-19 has precipitated numerous disruptions to businesses, more particularly, in the healthcare, aviation, leisure, restaurant, financial, and education industries among others.

Despite these difficulties and obstacles, the country continuously strives hard in order to adapt and rise above. The Philippine government exerts its best efforts to combat and conquer the fight against the health crisis. With that said, updates from the different departments and bureaus are consistently implemented for awareness. It is deemed important that these updates are well disseminated to the members of the society, especially, with the severity of the course of the pandemic today.
