The Chamber under its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Education committees together with one of its Associate Partners, University of Mindanao present: "Joining The Fight Against Counterfeiting" on the 26th of October from 2:00 - 3:30 PM with speakers from the legal and education industries.
Counterfeiting is detrimental to both original brands/companies and the consumers. It disrupts businesses as it results in loss of sales and revenue and profit margin, surplus, fraudulent risks, product liability claims, and brand and reputation damage.
In these difficult times, we must avoid any kind of harm or disadvantage that we may precipitate towards others. Instead, we must engage in collaborative and collective efforts in battling the challenges of the health crisis and eventually defeat it for the common good and benefit of all. One significant campaign is the UNREAL Campaign of the International Trademarks Association, which seeks to raise consumer IP awareness among the younger generation and to motivate them into being intelligent purchasers and able fighters against counterfeiting.
