Co-Founder of ASA Philippines Foundation which he started right after his UNDP assignment in August 2004. He served as Chief Consultant of UNDP Philippines for Microfinance (Sep 1998 to June 2004). He has extensive experience in South and southeast Asian Countries in establishing microfinance systems. Attended many national and international seminars on Microfinance as a resource person in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, and Bangladesh.
He is profoundly devoted to assisting people in the conflict zone and war victims through relief and rehabilitation efforts in Marawi in Mindanao 2017. Reviving enterprises, building capacities of the individuals of conflict impacted zone at the post-conflict period. He is also extensively involved in natural calamity impacted areas like Haiyan, providing psychosocial support, financial assistance through grants and interest-free loans until the calamity victims are ready to take off with business finance and leading to a normal life.
He is involved in social development since 1982 and exclusively in the microfinance field since 1993. Served as Deputy General Manager and in various capacities with ASA Bangladesh (1993-1998).
He sits on the board of several national and international level institutions both non-profit and for-profit companies mostly on microfinance, academic research, social development organization, and social enterprise.
He earned a Master in Entrepreneurship with distinction from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila. Bachelor of Arts under the University of Dhaka.
