AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

In response to the significant demand during the pandemic, education has shifted away from classrooms, migrating to online delivery of curriculum through distance learning. Distance learning is not new, it has been available for well over 50 years and continuously updated. It is a natural fit for the new normal.

Although it has some disadvantages like sports, there are also advantages unavailable for the traditional schools.
