AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

Event Details

This period of economic recession and health crisis is one of the toughest times to find work and start a career. The last 18 months have dramatically shaped the job market, the hiring and training processes of companies, and the ways we work. With a gradual recovery expected, what new skill sets can we expect from the demands of tomorrow? Where are the professional opportunities for young talent, and can young professionals still follow their sought-after career path?

The Young Professionals Committee will hold a meeting entitled "Passion & Recession: Building a Career in the Era of Pandemic" on 30 June 2021, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM via Zoom. The event will address above questions and will be participated by the students and immediate graduates (2018, 2019, 2020) of the Business Leadership Program (BLP) who would greatly benefit from the session which will tackle more about building a career during the pandemic.

Emmanuel "Noel" Gamboa

Managing Director and Founder of CapMan Consulting

Emmanuel “Noel” Gamboa is the Managing Director and Founder of CapMan Consulting. He is the subject matter expert in power generation and distribution, renewable energy, LNG development, infrastructure and utilities, private equity, venture capital, and investment banking. He oversees the executive search division of the firm with focus on board director and senior executive placements. He is also the Principal Director of CapMan Capital covering transaction advisory and mergers & acquisitions practices.

He holds a Masters degree in Philosophy from the University of Navarre, Spain and later underwent the Advanced Management Program of IESE Business School, Barcelona. He recently obtained an Advanced Program certificate in Executive Search and Leadership Consulting from Cornell University ILR School.
