AmCham Philippines

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

Event Details

AmCham's Creative Industries Committee is hosting a virtual meeting entitled "Pinoy Christmas: Unwrapping Creative Treasures and Creative Cities" on December 14 (Tuesday) from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM through Zoom.

This meeting will be the third of the chamber's new Creative Industries Committee and - in the spirit of the holiday season - will focus on one portion of the design sector domain as recognized in the draft Creative Industries bill and UNESCO as a creative industry. Due to the excellence of creative design in the Philippines, many Filipino craftspersons are employed and many customers in countries that celebrate Christmas enjoy a more joyful holiday with products from the Philippines that express the spirit of Pinoy Christmas and, overall, the rich creative economy of the Philippines.
