Power Economics 101: A Primer on Electricity Pricing

Event Details

Most people do not pay much attention to their electricity bill. The bill arrives, they pay it, and then go on with their daily routine until the next month. But suddenly they notice their bill has gone up and they exclaim: "Why is my electric bill so high? Why does it keep going up?"

If you are one of these people, this informative session is for you. Understand what goes into the process of generating electricity, so you may be able to make some changes to lower the price you pay in future months.

Rogelio "Roger" Q. Lim

President at RQLim Resources, Inc.

Roger Q. Lim is a manufacturing engineering executive, with an extensive knowledge and experience in strategic planning, project management, corporate governance, and energy. Roger has worked for manufacturing giant TMX Phils. back in 1977 when it was the first locator at the Mactan Export Processing Zone in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. He was with Timex for almost 25 years, and 15 years after with Cebu Private Power Corporation.

He served on the boards of many civic and business organizations as well, notably: Rotary Club of Cebu West, Mactan International Airport, Metropolitan Cebu Water District, Cebu Investment and Promotions, and Center for industrial Technology and Enterprise. He was also a business sector representative at the Regional Tripartite and Productivity Board, Region VII, a private sector representative to the Regional Development Council, Region VII, and a management representative at the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board, Region VII.
