The Professional Women of AmCham (PWOA) celebrates Pride Month with multi-awarded talk show host and producer, Dr. Eugenio "Boy" Abunda on June 24, 2019, 4PM-6PM at AmCham Hall , 2F Corinthian Plaza, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City.
June is Pride Month -- a month to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA) people, plus all other sexual orientations and genders. The celebration is held in June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in 1969, which kicked off the first major demonstrations for gay rights in America.
In the Philippines, June is highlighted with the Pride March which is organized to provide a "safe space" for the LGBTQIA+ members to "call for their rights". With this year's theme "Resist Together", learn how we can support them in their protest against injustice and oppression.
