Dr. Robin Velasco is currently the only Existential, Humanistic and Transpersonal psychotherapist in the Philippines. This mode of therapy focuses on the here and the now, spiritual development and the search for life meaning. Robin obtained his Masters and PhD degrees in Psychology from Saybrook University in San Francisco which was set up by the founders of existential and humanistic psychology.
In Saybrook, he graduated with distinction and a GPA of 3.97 out of 4.0. Currently counsels, advises, coaches a broad range of clients. Aside from psychotherapy, he also sits in different Management Boards as Strategic Adviser and Independent Director. He help companies set up their strategic planning process, and at times oversees it.
Robin was the Group HR Vice President for Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) from 2009 to 2015 which is a holding company for Meralco, North Luzon Toll Roads, LRT1, Maynilad, Makati Medical, Cardinal Santos, Asian Hospital and other companies. Prior to this he was HR Director for Asia in Ipsos (Global Market Research firm), leading the HR Function for 12 Asian countries. Before this he was HR Director, Talent Management for Asia Pacific, for Johnson and Johnson. Before this, he worked in Procter & Gamble as Technology Transfer and Training Manager which was his first job.
He was also an MBA Professor in La Salle for more than 5 years, and a College Professor for about 2 years. He taught Management Principles, Strategic Management, Human Resources, Ethics, Production Management and others. Robin graduated from De La Salle University with a BS Biology and Masters in Business Administration degrees. He graduated Magna cum Laude, was given the BPI Science Award, two time recipient of the Young Achiever’s Award, and was one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP).
