Knowingly, there have been various challenges and adjustments that each and every one of us has faced due to the threats of the COVID-19. Most, if not all businesses have sought for ways on how to operate despite the ECQ and most have done well in adapting to the situation. However, there are still lapses and insufficiencies that must be addressed, intellectual property issues being one of the many.
Businesses, more specifically intellectual property stakeholders, have definitely suffered losses and have been negatively impacted by the ECQ. That being said, it is the best time for these stakeholders to protect their intellectual property rights by taking mitigating measures during and after the ECQ.
๏ปฟEveryone must have learned one thing or another from this experience. Intellectual property owners must have considered different methods on how to leverage their assets during these trying times. With that in mind, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) can provide assistance to undertake those action plans and raise awareness to ensure that intellectual property rights are safeguarded.
