Jonas de los Reyes is a digital strategist and marketer who is very passionate with the unique ways technology is helping brands and companies connect and build positive relationships with people. This can be seen in his 19 years of combined experience in product management, content development, and digital and social media marketing.
He is currently Vice President, Head of Digital Marketing and Omnichannel for Metrobank where he leads the bank's efforts for digital marketing excellence and part of the team focused on championing human-centered design and digital transformation of the bank.
The focus on digital transformation roles started when Jonas joined BPI as Head of Digital back in 2017. Most of his background has always been with technology startups, both local and global. He has worked for Appier Inc., an artificial intelligence startup; he was Philippines Country Manager of social media analytics startup Thoughtbuzz; and from 2008 to 2011, he was Lead Community Manager of Yahoo! for Southeast Asia; and before joining Yahoo!, he was the Head of Ecommerce for then local startup Yehey.com.
Jonas ventured into entrepreneurship back in 2013 when he co-founded a social media marketing startup agency called Socialytics. It was acquired on 2015 by AdSpark Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe Telecoms Inc.
He is also a subject matter expert on digital and social media marketing, teaching for 2 corporate educational institutions (Certified Digital Marketer and the Digital Marketing Institute). He also conducts corporate trainings and has been invited to speak in various local and regional events on the topic of digital marketing, social media, and customer experience.
