The Human Capital & Resources Committee and External Affairs Department of AmCham Philippines will be conducting a joint meeting entitled "Social Security System (SSS) Updates" on November 24, 10 AM - 12 NN, via Zoom.


The chamber invited Mr.Michael Regino to discuss the labor and employment policies, thrusts, and programs of the Social Security System (SSS) under the new administration.

    Michael Regino

    President & CEO of Social Security System (SSS)

    As the President and Chief Executive Officer (PCEO), Mr. Regino is the highest-ranking Executive Officer in SSS. He oversees and supervises the general conduct of operations of the state pension fund and is responsible for carrying out the programs of the SSS and the policies of the SSC. He is also the concurrent Vice-Chairperson of the SSC, and a member of its Executive Committee, Information Technology and Coverage and Collection Committee (ITCC), and Risk Management and Investments Committee (RMIC).

    Prior to his appointment as PCEO, Mr. Regino was the Commissioner of the SSC representing the Public Sector and the Workers’ Group in October 2016 and February 2019, respectively. Significantly, with his vast knowledge and experience in finance and investment, he served as Chairperson of the ITCC and a member of the RMIC from 2019 to March 2022.
