AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

Matt has over 15 years management experience in the service, hospitality, tourism, retail and facility management industries. While finishing his education at the University of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, he held various positions at the Cypress Lakes Resort , from head concierge to Food & Beverage Manager . He also managed the Hunter Valley Golf & Country Club, overseeing monthly department operation budgets, identification and implementation of strategies to improve business and associated services performance, and developing and maintaining professional community relationships. He worked for Rentokil Initial as Senior Business Manager, from Dec 2005 to Nov 2014. He expanded his reach from Australia to Myanmar and to the United Kingdom when we joined Competitive Pest Services from 2015 to 2018. He is presently General Manager of Trusted Pest Management of Australia and Managing Director of Ecokil Pest Control Services in the Philippines.,
