This month, the Professional Women of AmCham (PWOA) - Women in Leadership series will be focusing on a woman who took the lead in establishing a social enterprise which trains and prepares fellow women for work overseas and helps them open their doors to wider opportunities. Our guest speaker is Ms. Aimee Carandang-Gloria, Executive Director of Fair Employment Training and Assessment Center, Inc. (FTC). FTC is a social enterprise that seeks to reinvent pre-departure training for migrant domestic workers and prepare them for life overseas.
The meeting will focus on the journey to finding one's cause, the experiences in building a social enterprise along with the challenges that comes with it, and the inspiring ways on how to rise above those challenges in order to pursue a chosen purpose.
