AmCham Philippines

AmCham came to life in 1902 as the Manila Coffee Round Table and later as Manila Merchants Association. Incorporated in 1920, it has since then recognized and reconfirmed the commitment of American business to the development and welfare of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

This is a commitment of long-standing, as its mission statement declares:

The Chamber exists to serve the interests of U.S. businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”

Event Details

COVID-19 has spread around the world in just months what took the Spanish flu two years back in 1918. This has forced many organisations to rapidly disperse their workforce outside the office; this may extend until the end of the year or beyond.

Both the FBI and UK Police have reported an increase of 400% in the number of cybercrime incidents linked to the COVID - 19 outbreaks. As employees are external to the network that is normally secured by IT professionals, criminals are taking advantage with a variety of threats that can be substantially mitigated through reviewing home equipment, connectivity and cyber awareness training.

So what do you need to do ensure security of your employees when working remotely? This is not only required to deal with the current pandemic - and to prepare for the next one - but to look at changes that may be permanent on how and where people work.

This event outlines an actionable strategy on how to mitigate these risks so you and your business do not become victims.
