Event Details

The World Immunization Week (WIW) is a World Health Organization (WHO) sponsored annual event celebrated every 24th to 30th of April. This event aims to highlight the collective action needed and to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease. Through its convening power, WHO works with countries across the globe to raise awareness of the value of vaccines and immunization and ensures that governments obtain the necessary guidance and technical support to implement high-quality immunization programs.

With this year's theme "Long Life for All, In pursuit of a long life well lived", the ultimate goal of World Immunization Week is for more people โ€“ and their communities โ€“ to be protected from vaccine-preventable diseases. Along with efforts in accelerating the post-pandemic period, it is high time to boost people's awareness and confidence in using vaccines, as well as determine government and private sector programs in addressing issues and challenges in vaccination drives.

This webinar will focus on discussing government policies in ensuring correct vaccine assessment, formulation, and variation of available vaccines, and vaccine hesitancy among the general population will also be addressed and discussed.
