The gravity of the situation is underscored by the annual diagnosis of 7,897 new cases and the tragic loss of 4,052 lives to cervical cancer. In the landscape of cancer incidence in the Philippines, cervical cancer emerges as the second most frequent cancer among women, making it a formidable health concern. These statistics not only highlight the scale of the problem but also emphasize the urgent need for comprehensive strategies to address its prevalence and impact on Filipino women.

Health education and awareness campaigns play a crucial role in empowering women to take charge of their reproductive health.
