The Healthcare and Wellness Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines will be conducting an event entitled "Post COVID-19 Impact in Today's Healthcare System" on March 30, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, via Zoom to discuss the following concerns: (1) Status of Health Sector Post COVID-19; (2) Trends of Deaths and Deadly Illnesses After COVID Vaccine; (3) Impact of COVID-19 in Present Lifestyle.

    The speaker is one of the pioneers of Modern Trauma Care in the Philippines with more than 3 decades of work in Trauma, Emergencies and disasters. He was one of the original founders of Asian Collaboration for Trauma in 2012
    He was appointed as the Health Undersecretary or Deputy Minister of Health of the Philippines (2010 - 2015). He was the government focal person and Coordinator of Foreign Medical Teams in Typhoon Haiyan in 2013.
    In the University of the Philippines, he started the Fellowship Training for Trauma Surgery & the Residency in Emergency Medicine. He was a Professor at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2007-10). He was International Associate for John Hopkins University, for the Hospital Preparedness for Emergencies (HOPE) course.
    He was a Board member of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine. He is Professor & Chairman of Emergency Medicine and Trauma Surgery at Philippine General Hospital. His most recent government appointment as the special adviser of the National Task Force against Covid-19.

    Dr. Salvana is the Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the National Institutes of Health at the University of the Philippines Manila, and is Clinical Associate Professor and Research Coordinator at the Section of Infectious Diseases of the Department of Medicine at the Philippine General Hospital. He is also Adjunct Professor for Global Health at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently the head of the subcommittee for HIV of the Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and led the formulation of local clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of opportunistic infections in HIV. He also sits as an institutional representative on the Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism.
    Dr. Salvana graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and received internal medicine training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He trained in infectious diseases and tropical medicine at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center and the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
    Dr. Salvana has co-authored over 60 papers in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals and written 12 book chapters and review articles.

    Dr. Eilyn Evora-Ayuste is the Vice President for Operations of PhilCare. Previously, she served as Medical Officer V at PhilHealth Insurance Corp. and In-House Physician at Urology Center of the Philippines, Inc.
    Furthermore, she studied Psychology at the University of the Philippines Diliman and studied Medicine at the College of Medicine of De La Salle University.
