With Guest Speaker

David Lennarz

President and Co-Founder, Registrar Corp

Food and beverages exported to the United States are regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or store food and beverages must register with FDA as food facilities. Among other things, FDA requires registered food facilities to:

  • Designate a U.S. Agent for FDA communications
  • Submit Prior Notice to FDA for every shipment of food to the United States
  • Agree to inspection of the facility by FDA at any given time
  • Develop and maintain HARPC Food Safety Plans under the new Food Safety Modernization Act
  • Follow strict labeling and ingredient requirements (new required format coming soon!)
  • Exporting food to the United States without complying with FDA regulations can lead to costly and time-consuming FDA Detentions, FDA Warning Letters, FDA Import Alerts, and more.

Leading U.S. FDA consulting firm Registrar Corp will educate attendees on the need-to-know FDA requirements so that their products may successfully enter the US market. Registrar Corp will put special emphasis on new requirements under FDA's Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and upcoming changes to FDA's food labeling requirements.
