Executive Director of Fair Employment Training and Assessment Center Inc.

Aimee Carandang Gloria graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1986. After graduation, she applied for scholarship in the Philippine Airlines Aviation School. Her employment in PAL, made her the first female Commercial Airline Pilot in the Philippines. She flew with PAL in 1989 and retired as a Captain of the Fokker 50 in 1998.

She started her advocacies in 2002, starting with the establishment of the Kabisig ng Kalahi Foundation where she is Vice President. Kabisig created feeding programs to address malnutrition among children in the Philippines. Their program has been used as a template by the government and other organizations.

Currently, she is a consultant for social enterprises such as Invisible Sisters and is a Gkonomics volunteer consultant. She is also the Executive Director of Fair Employment Training and Assessment Center Inc. (FTC). FTC is a social enterprise that seeks to reinvent pre-departure training for migrant domestic workers. FTC aims to prepare workers for their jobs and life overseas and to reduce the churn rate of first time domestic workers.
